# Add or change your signup form fields

You choose what your signup form asks for on each card.

## Steps

1. Open the dashboard.
2. Go to Cards, then Manage cards.
3. Click the card you want to change.
4. Open Signup form fields.
5. Click Add a field.
6. Pick a ready-made field such as Phone, Last name, Anniversary, Favorite drink, or Favorite dish, or create your own custom field.
7. For a custom field, give it a name and choose the kind of answer, for example short text, a number, or a date.
8. Save your changes.

As you add fields, the preview on the right shows exactly what your customer will see.

## Keep the form short

The signup form shows an ease-of-signup indicator. The fewer fields you ask for, the more likely a customer is to finish and install the card. Add a field only if it helps you recognise or serve customers.

## Good to know

Email and first name are always collected. Phone, last name, and custom fields are part of the Business plan.
